QR Code Quest

QR Codes are black and white 2-dimensional squares that link directly to one of the following: text, a website, a song, a video.

You can download a QR Scanner for your smartphone by searching QR CODE (please only download the FREE apps). Then all you have to do is scan the QR Code with your camera, and it will take you directly to the secret information.

If that worked right, your phone took you directly to the MBMS QR Code Quest page document. This page has the tasks on it, along with clues to take you to a QR code. The QR code has what you need to answer the task.

Your quest is to find the QR Codes around MBMS, and eventually around Manhattan Beach, and find the “answers” to the questions. Then you enter the answers into the Code Quest answer sheet. Students who complete the quest with 100% accuracy will get 5 extra credit points.

To review:

1) Go to the Code Quest answer sheet.

2) Read the clue. Figure out where the QR code is.

3)Scan the QR code. It will take you to text, a youtube video, a website, a song, a powerpoint document, etc.

4) Figure out the answer to the task on the answer sheet.

5) Enter the answer on the answer sheet and go to the next task.

6) When you have all the answers, click “submit.”

If you don’t have a “smartphone,” ask a friend or stand behind someone who does. You’ll be able to access all the same information through the URLs they find.
